Worbla's Kobracast Art
PLEASE NOTE: Worbla is available for In-Store Pick-Up ONLY. We do not ship this item.
ALSO: Worbla's Kobracast Art shares the name of a discontinued thermoplastic called KobraCast. These materials are NOT the same. For a more appropriate substitution for original KobraCast check out Varaform.
Worbla's Kobracast Art is a thin, stretchable fabric encased in thermoplastic. Heat activated (approx. 80-90 C / 175-195 F) Kobracast Art can be shaped by hand, in a mold, or vacuformed. It remains slightly flexible after forming, meaning it can be released from complex shapes, even molds with slight undercuts.
Kobracast Art contains a very strong adhesive, meaning it will stick very well to itself and to other materials if treated properly. Very light weight, it works well as a fabric stabilizer for costume collars, hats, or animal ears. It is also excellent at attaching D-rings, straps, and other notions to other types of Worbla as it has VERY high tear resistance once cool.
